As developers, we often face a common dilemma: should we build the feature we think is cool, or wait for the users to tell us what they need? It’s a constant battle against “developer bias”—the tendency to spend weeks on code that might never be used.
For QRcdr, our compass has always been our community. QRcdr isn’t a brand-new project; it’s the evolution of a PHP script launched on CodeCanyon over 12 years ago. With more than 1,700 customers and a decade of support tickets, we’ve learned that the most valuable features are those that solve real-world workflow bottlenecks.
Recently, one request began to surface more frequently: “How can I make QRcdr talk to my other software?”
Today, we are taking a step forward to answer that by officially launching the QRcdr REST API.
Integration Over Isolation
We believe a QR code generator shouldn’t be a silo. It should be a part of your existing ecosystem. Whether you are using our SaaS platform or running the PRO license on your own WordPress site, you now have the tools to automate your marketing and data management.
More Control for SaaS Users and Agencies
This update serves two primary purposes:
For our SaaS Subscribers
It’s about Third-Party Integration.
You can now connect QRcdr to your CRM, automate QR delivery via email after a purchase, or sync analytics with your marketing automation platforms.
For Agencies and Professionals (WP License)
If you are running the QRcdr PRO license on your own WordPress site to offer services to your clients, this is a game-changer.
You can now provide API access to your users, effectively transforming your website into a professional-grade SaaS provider.
The new API Keys section can be found under you Account area, inside the frontend generator

Built for Developers
To make the integration process as smooth as possible, we’ve added several tools directly into your dashboard:
Live & Sandbox Keys
Create multiple keys for production and a dedicated sandbox key for risk-free testing.
Integrated API Explorer
No more guessing parameters. Our built-in explorer allows you to test calls in real-time and provides ready-to-use code snippets in cURL, PHP, and JavaScript.
Exploring the New Endpoints
We’ve focused on providing a solid foundation with these first four essential endpoints.
This is just the beginning: we fully expect to refine these and add more in the future.
Account Status & Usage
GET /qrcdr/v1/me
Stay in control. This endpoint allows you to programmatically monitor your account status and usage limits, ensuring your integrations never skip a beat.
Dynamic QR Code Listing
GET /qrcdr/v1/qrcodes
Retrieve your entire library of dynamic QR codes. This is essential for developers who need to map codes within external databases or display them in custom dashboards.
Analytics & Insights
GET /qrcdr/v1/qrcodes/{id}/stats
Perhaps the most requested feature. You can now pull real-time scan data directly into your own reporting software, CRM, or automated spreadsheets without ever logging into the dashboard.
Static QR Generation
POST /qrcdr/v1/generate
Need to create a QR code on the fly? Use this endpoint to generate static QR codes programmatically for labels, receipts, or quick links.
This API release is just one of the many steps we are taking based on the feedback we receive from you.
We hope it helps you bridge the gap between your QR code campaigns and the rest of your digital tools.
As always, we are listening. If there’s an endpoint you’d like to see next or a way we can make the API even better, don’t hesitate to reach out.
